Since the first months of Military operation "Asfat Al-Hazm" until today, many officials of the Yemeni government and the Arab Coalition have been claiming that 85% of the Yemeni territory has been liberated from the control of the Houthi militias, although the information is illogical and seems unrealistic.

This statement is still echoed in the various media, which are quoted by the various officials who echo them in their various statements and interviews, and some people believe that.

These are some facts which reveal that these information are illogical and false:

1. Most of the Yemeni territory that was not controlled by the Houthis, did not witness any clashes or battles between the two sides, which makes them outside the military accounts such as Al-Mahrah and Hadramout, which are more than a third of Yemeni territory.

2. The Houthis continue to control Yemeni lands, where most of the population centers and vital cities are located, including the capital, Sana'a. This means that the Houthis continue to control most of the Yemeni lands of demographic, economic and vital importance. Since the military control of the land is measured by its importance and not by its size so the Houthis are considered the conrolers.

3. The areas controlled by the Houthis are strongly controlled and managed, while the territories they do not control are controlled by several groups with regional and tribal tendencies. The actual control of the legitimacy government is very limited and confined to limited cities because of the Arab alliance, specially UAE, who are trying to weaken the legitimacy government in the provinces that are not controlled by the Houthis.

4. The lands liberated from the control of the Houthi militias are characterized by being non-incubating environments for them, while some of the territories they control are characterized by an incubator environment for sectarian and regional reasons. This also means that the imbalance in the balance of controlling the lands can not be measured in percentage, The importance of each region to the other for the two parties, as well as the cost of their liberation.

5 - Some territories controlled by the legitimate authority have gaps if exploited by the militias Houthi, it can regain control, that means the lack of proportion of land controlled by the legitimate authority is available at any moment.

6 - Lands that have witnessed battles between the parties and have been freed from the control of the Houthi militia already can be estimated by 10% of the Yemeni territory, including the city of Aden and parts of some northern and southern provinces.

The result of all of the above is that during the three years of the war, the legitimate authority and the Arab Alliance liberated 10% of Yemen's land, not 85%, as claimed by officials and media of the two parties.

This figure reflects the military failure of the Arab alliance, which hindered the liberalization process because of its narrow calculations, and its entry into war without a plan or vision of how to end it and prepare the country for what comes after the war.
